The Family Ghost show #19: cd release show

first off i'll start off with all the mundane junk before that...i was planning on going to the Robert Fripp show on friday but everyone who was going backed out and i didn't feel like going alone...instead i sat around at Jacques and Amber's with David...oh yeah, and before that David came over and we tested out his dj equipment through two amplifiers and it worked out fine...then yesterday i woke up early and took my car in to get the tires aligned and rotated and all that junk...i also ended up getting the bald tire replaced (the one that led me to get all the other junk done in the first place...) just don't wanna risk it since i'll be driving to Chicago in a week...it was super expensive, but at least it's all a lifetime thing so i can get it done for free in the future...cars are lame...David picked me up since it was gonna be 3 hours before they even got to it...anyway, we hang out for a while i got my car, we hung out a little longer then it was time for The Family Ghost to meet and get ready for the show!

we were a little behind schedule but only a little...we set up and David did some djing and he played some awesome music...then we played our first set:

the first time we've played a cover live (the Silkworm cover we just did for the tribute)...probably the last time we'll play that one...just did it since we just recorded it as well the whole "special occasion" thing...there wasn't a whole lot of people there we don't know, but at least there was a good number of people we do know...it was a good show anyway (both of 'em!) i'd say one (or two) of our better shows...we sold a handful of cds (okay, to people we know and probably would end up buying one anyway...though one guy was someone i don't know, although he's in Brad's circle of friends...) thanks to everyone for showing up...uh...on friday Jamie said she was gonna come but she didn't so that made me sad...but other than that it was all good...

afterwards Jacques, Amber, Mary Beth, Justin, and i went to perkins (after a cop wouldn't let us into ihop) and it was super late and i was delirious but that was okay 'cuz i was hungry too...i didn't wake up fully 'til like 30 minutes ago...but i first woke up at 11:30 (after going to sleept at 6 or so) and was awake in bed for at least 2 hours...and i think i woke up for a short while sometime after that again...still overall i'm sure i slept a very long time...so i guess that's the end...the big show is finally out of the way...the cd is finally "officially" a cd or something...
