i should be sleeping...
Jul. 2nd, 2002 03:05 amafter work yesterday, i went over to Justin's...i thought it'd be a good idea to go ahead and start purchasing my Sonic Youth tickets online...i got the tickets for the first show (New Orleans) and the last show (DC)...then i went to get tickets for the second show (Atlanta)...these were through ticketmaster...well, i bought the tickets then when i was done and got the confirmation it told me that i had just purchased tickets for August 3 at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA...this would be wonderful had it not been for the fact that Sonic Youth was playing the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, GA on August 5...i was wondering what was going on when i noticed that the band listed wasn't even Sonic Youth, but Taratura or something...i emailed their customer service, hopefully they won't dick me over...i'm gonna play it up like it's their fault as much as possible...i mean, it IS their fault...i'm NOT a dumbass...really...
after class i met the guy who's in charge of the math department about my electives, he wasn't able to go into a detailed meeting at the time so he said he'd email me and set something up...all this bullshit w/ the state legislature being fucking morons is really pissing me off...as it's fucking w/ my school shit...the deadline to file for intent to graduate in december is july 18...but after tomorrow the school is going to fucking shut down...so it doesn't look like anyone's gonna be up there so i can get all my shit taken care of...i'm gonna try to get my comp sci elective sequence approval signed by all the appropriate persons tomorrow...if i can...maybe something will get worked out w/ the state by the 18th and i won't be screwed...or they'll be kind when it does get done and let me file "late" because of it...i dunno...i'll see how much i can get accomplished tomorrow...(it's gonna be a nice, tiring day...between not enough sleep, class, doing this shit, and work...)
after work i went by the practice space only to find several really large puddles of water...instead of paying rent (if i have time) tomorrow, i'll complain about that and see if i can not pay 'til they get the leakage fixed...i don't think anything was damanged, nicely enough...while i'm on a semi-related subject, i think i'm gonna be in another band...i finally talked to emo Nick and i think we're gonna get together for that "all-Moog" band we had discussed months ago...it'll prob'ly be kind've emo/pop-punkish but w/ synths and no guitars...synths and live drums...i imagine it'd prob'ly be kind've Rentals-ish...definately not Family Ghost level stuff, but it should be fun...after i moved the stuff that was touching the water away from said water (and sat around for an hour as i let the fan dry some of it up...) i went over to Paul's...we went to sucky Neil's for $5 steak night...after that we went to Walgreen's where i bought one of the raddest shirts ever...it's a pink camouflage button-up...BADD-ASS!!!
