first i did "China Girl" (Bowie's bad version, of course...) in the style of Iggy...later i did "Wicked Games" w/ Chris...and finally i did "Polk Salad Annie" some Elvis song i had never heard but the titled was really stupid so i went for it...the song was really stupid too...i was terrible...it was great...there's some other weird crap that's been going on...but it involves one of my friends and not me so i don't feel disposed to talk about it here...other than that, i've nothing else to talk about in my sad little life...but i'll throw in the fact that Lou Barlow fucking rules...

Re: radio fodder
Date: 2002-01-03 09:57 pm (UTC)god, i hope someone shoots down (ha ha) that fucking stupid idea. as if this city's revolting elvis obsession isn't bad enough already. take a perfectly inoffensive airport name, then change it as a tribute to the world's most revered deceased singing monkey.

Re: radio fodder
Date: 2002-01-03 10:07 pm (UTC)i wonder what paul mcleod is up to these days...we should pay him a visit, maybe drag some of the uninitiated down there too (if we know any uninitiated). that'd be ace.
you know, next, they'll be trying to change the name of the mississippi river to the "jeff buckley teen-angst drowning-overrated-cretinous-warbling-folk-garbage river". i'd vote for that because:
(1) it's funny that jeff buckley drowned, and
(2) it doesn't contain the word "mississippi"
