Spent all goddamn night working on getting those files resized correctly, and I did and they still come back with some shit about it being wrong. For the resolution I set, it was the correct dimensions on my end. But they're saying it's these other dimensions (that are just scaled proportionally a bit larger). I told them that and they replied that they can't rescale anything (what the fuck can this company do!?). So I either have to see if something got switched in one of my file conversions and there's something I can do about that or just say fuck you to them and figure out another way to do this thing. Anyway, today at work I had to give two job interviews (the last one is tomorrow). It'll be for Aravind's replacement (sadly, I mean we haven't heard anything, but I guess that doesn't bode promising). They went fine. Interviewees were pretty nervous (hell, I'm a little bit nervous even giving fucking interviews, they're the worst!) but not too bad and I think it's going alright so far. Got home to my SantaThing (LibraryThing's secret Santa...thing) books in the mail: Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly and A Ladder to the Sky by John Boyne. I don't know anything about either so it's a new adventure.
