long and sucky...

ateolfsheesh...where to begin...
ummm...here: so i installed dosminix on my computer and started mapping out on paper the changes to the code i'd be making...this is saturday...then before i went to sleep i started looking for my old Data Structures book so i could brush up all i could possibly do w/ linked lists, but i spent an hour looking for it and i couldn't find it...so then i went to bed all annoyed, as i have every other past book sitting right here but the one i need for the moment...
i went to work sunday and i brought my operating systems book and my notes and my first semester C++ book (as i'd been using it as a reference for C and stuff...) so i worked and stuff and when i get home i can't fucking find my C++ book...i searched everywhere, but it wasn't to be found...so i'm guessing i somehow left it at work (even though i never actually took that book out of my bag...and i did take my operating systems book/notes out of the bag but they're right here...) but as it turns out, i have to go in to work tonight at 1:30 am anyways to train on some new system...it's gonna be for a few hrs...even though it's something i can prob'ly figure out w/in the course of five min...and it's gonna completely fuck me over schedule-wise...oh fucking well...
so after work i go out and get the book UNIX in a Nutshell so i can figure out how to get around MINIX and the text editors...the book was a tremendous help, actually...i actually did some mildly extensive notes for this project and wrote out several drafts of code before (and a little while) i ever got to the machine...so i all make the changes and try to update it, but either the changes i made did nothing at all, or i couldn't get my changed version to load...i'm thinking this is most likely 'cuz it said MINIX 2.0 version 2 (which is the original version i downloaded...) so 12 am started coming fast and then i went to save the changed files to a disk so i could cut and paste the changes to the email i'd send to my professor...i used the doswrite command and the floppy drive's light was all happening so it looked like it was writing the files, but then i rebooted windows and the disk was empty...so as it was 10-15 min 'til the deadline, i didn't have time to sit around trying to figure it all out, so i dialed up and wrote the email going by my notes/memory...needless to say it took a bit much more time than i would've hoped typing the code out by hands and giving notes as to where it was in the program(s)...and it wasn't 'til about 10 after midnight that i got it sent...i'm hoping he'll be nice and lenient on that...but i don't know after all the pushing-back of the deadline he allowed us...
then about a half hour later i was looking back at my notes and realized i had made a change to the code after i had written it in my notes, but didn't put it to paper over a mistake i had made...so i had to write another email explaining that i had made an earlier change in the code from what i had in the email and what it was...so it's all turned out to be quite a little mess...and i still don't know if what i did works or not...it SEEMS like it should, but w/ how little i know about programming and how bad i am w/ it, my judgement isn't the best in the world to follow...
so after all that i finally started on my calc hw that was due today...went to sleep...went to class...had a bit more sleep...i'll prob'ly sleep a little more later on today...fitting in my spanish hw somewhere...dreading going to work...not the actual going, but the fucked-up time fucking up my schedule...at least this is the last week before......NEW YORK FUCKIN' CITY!!! yea...and a sucky week too, 'cuz i have a physics exam wed (as well as physics hw to do) my spanish hw tomorrow...the operating systems midterm thursday (not good at all, sir) and most definately more spanish hw for thursday morning...but when it's all over...that'll rule...
oh yes...i also got in touch w/ Brad (after all the searching i did, it turns out he gave Justin his number...) and he won't be albe to pay me back 'til next wed...and we're leaving at like 6:30 in the morning next wed...oh well...i can prob'ly borrow it from my mom and pay her back when i get the monies from him when we get back...
and this being sick shit has been going on WAY TOO FUCKING LONG! i'd better all get better before New York happens, damnit...
