oh yeah...
Dec. 1st, 2000 10:06 pmtoday i also completed the tuning for my machine-gun guitar...i had broken the high E string before i devised its tuning, and today i took the high E string from my Harmony guitar (which i believe i'm going to tune according to the harmonic sequence, and won't be going high enough to use such a thin string anyways...) so here's the tuning from lowest to highest string:
Eb - G - Eb - G - D - F
starting from the Eb one half-step below the low "E string"'s standard tuning up 2 steps to the G up 4 steps to the next Eb up 2 steps again to the next G up 3 1/2 steps to the D up 1 1/2 steps to the F...
that's all...it's uber indie-wusscore, which is a great thing for a guitar shaped like a machine-gun...
another note: when i did it, i just went according to ear, choosing the notes when i found the one that sounded right, not paying any attention to what they were...it was interesting when i later noticed the parallels w/ the octaves and all...that's all...
