i went out for "lunch" (as in, it was a couple hours after the normal 12pm lunchtime, as well as my first meal of the day...) w/ my grandmother since i had to miss the mother's day dinner last night 'cuz of work...i was gonna take my mom too but she said she wasn't feeling well so i told her i'd make her go tomorrow...we ate at Nam King...afterwards, on the drive to midtown, i stopped by that Salvation Army in Raleigh, the pawn shop right next to it, and that Cat's a few stores down (i've found good stuff cheap in its used bins before...) but none of them had anything for me in my brief ganderings...after work i went to Brad's...checked my email and found this:

Friday for a band called "The Star Death" and on 5/23 with a band called
"The Secret Machines"

i haven't talked to Paul yet, (he should be getting off work soon) but hopefully we'll be able to do the 23rd show...i already wrote him back saying some of us were working this friday and would talk to the others about the other show...*i* think we could be ready by then...we'll need a little work still, but i think we can pull it off...we'll see...so MAYBE The Family Ghost's 3rd show will be happening a bit sooner than expected...(and only just over 9 months since the 2nd...god...) Brad and i went to Justin's where we watched The Virgin Suicides...it was quite good...¡fin!
