I got some work in yesterday on my setup for the live score. Mostly getting a setup for the talkback microphone to signal the percussionists. I had previously had these ideas about getting some new kind of inline muting button/device, but then I was like, why don't I just use one of the Boss mute pedals I already have. A momentary switch would be ideal and they're not momentary but still, a footswitch compensates for that a bit. Then at night I went to a show at Haven Haus. First time I'd been to the new location downtown. It's in the same building as Ernestine & Hazel's, behind it, in an old run down restaurant/venue with a stage (had previously been The 5 Spot but I'd never been there). Dinosauria played first and was great as always. Cel Shade played next and was great as always. She had the vhs/crt rig with the Spice Channel tape again. But switched it out mid-set with a tape of interior World Trade Center footage from the 70s. Then Gooetones was last and they were really good. It seems like they're getting more songs that are longer and more expansive and I'm definitely into that. Also ran into Ben who's been the "mystery" participant in the scrap metal orchestra in that I initially got a response but he wasn't able to make rehearsal times and hasn't been yet but then I hadn't heard back from him in a while so have been getting uncertain if he'll still be doing it. He's doing some moving and will figure it out and get back to me this weekend. Anyway, came home and watched some live Fleetwood Mac with Mary Beth. That's about it for now.
