Plumbing Talk
May. 6th, 2025 07:59 amThe plumbers came yesterday afternoon and fixed the toilet that had started running continuously (I had shut its valve off so it wouldn't keep running, but of course then it's out of commission). This toilet had also been for a while kind of messed up, where it would start running (not full on like it started on Friday, but a smaller "trickle") but would stop (most of the time) if you jiggled the handle. Anyway, hopefully it's all back to normal. No problems yet. They also fixed the hose on the outside spigot. The problem was the nozzle was messed up and they couldn't get it off the hose either (so I didn't feel so bad) and they ended up just cutting off the end of the hose. I can replace the screw-part later if I want but it works as a hose now (there was also a leak at the valve and they tightened that up as well). So it feels like some plumbing accomplishments were achieved. In the evening Mary Beth and I went and did our Superlo grocery run. Then at night I worked more on the editing. As I'd hoped, the last two tracks are easier (not as easy as that subwoofer track, but an in between and they're much easier than the first three). I finished track five and made my way a bit into the last one. So there's finally a fucking light at the end of this tunnel! Oh yeah! And I almost forgot to mention that I finally announced the Memphis Concrète 2025 Artist Sampler comp being up on bandcamp. Will probably still get a few more submissions in from artists, been adding them as we go for a few days, but this is at least most of it now:
