Charge

I had another lunchtime reading session with Trudy glued to my slanketed lap. We'll see how long this cold weather holds (doesn't feel like much longer). Zach was almost about to give up on playing the show tonight due to technical problems he was having. His personal laptop wouldn't turn on anymore and he'd been trying to use his work laptop but the audio interface wasn't working with it. He had ordered a new power adapter for the personal laptop but it wouldn't be able to arrive until next week. I asked what kind of power adapter he has and it turns out to be the same kind Mary Beth's old, defunct laptop used and the charger was lying around and I found it straightaway. I brought it over and dropped it off on his porch (Magen said hi from inside the house and I also saw a cat!). He was able to test it out and it worked so not only is he able to play the show tonight but he doesn't have to worry that it's actually his computer that died and he'd have to buy a whole new one. And all of it was Mary Beth's idea to ask about the adapter so she saved the show (or at least Bruiser's set)! After work I had a practice run with Ricky and Zach. They were both having issues, but they eventually got solved. Zach's turned out because he was using Safari as a browser. His video was coming through the hangout but no audio (and then it wasn't sharing his screen when we tried to do that later to troubleshoot). Easy fix once diagnosed! Mary Beth and I took a little drive in her car last night on the interstate just to drive it 'cuz it hadn't been driven in a long time. Then we watched Daria as you might have expected. Okay, now it's Friday. Show is tonight! I'm excited.
