(no subject)

The Family Ghost got together on Saturday and did some recordin'. Paul and Ryan redid their parts for the song Paul sings on. Then Ryan and Jacques laid down the base for "The Provincial." Paul overlaid his bass for it. Then I put down my guitar part (the first time I've played any guitar on this album, discounting bass). I later doubled my guitar on the Moog and did the bass synth thing at the end. Much of my part is improvised around a theme, so I had to figure out what I'd played a phrase at a time when I went back to it. I also laid down a drone to accompany my two-note thing as texture, but Jacques didn't like anything I did for that. We (Jacques, Mary Beth, and I) also went to India Palace and that was good as always. Not too much happened Sunday. Worked and all that. Wasn't able to get to the gym Monday 'cuz I had grading to do and then I was preparing for the test later this week (today and tomorrow). I'd gotten it all done, so I was able to hit the gym on a Wednesday, a rarity. I was gonna go anyway, but it was a plus that the faculty meeting was cancelled! I actually finished early. I won't be able to go again for a little while 'cuz I've got rehearsal for the alumni band the next three days. We have our concert at the frickin' Orpheum of all places on Sunday. I'm about to leave in just a short while.
