Session

Yesterday The Family Ghost did a bit of recording. We had set out a goal to record four songs this week and the remaining two next week. A bit ambitious, but we fuckin' did it (the this week part anyway). We did "The Provincial," "Like Clockwork," "The Yellow Light," and "Doctorate." It was the first time we'd played "The Yellow Light" together too. I also came up with a new synth part to play simultaneously at the end of "The Provincial' (simultaneous with my guitar part). It took about five hours and for a little while it was looking to be an overly ambitious task ("Like Clockwork" was tough. We tried it first, had trouble, did something else and came back to it). Also during "Like Clockwork" I ripped my fingernail on the guitar strings. Then had to keep playing and playing, no fun. Jacques and I stayed up late and got it all mixed down. Yay. Today went to the gym.
