another show last night: The Black-Eyed Snakes...at the Deli...Jacques had talked to Alan Sparhawk beforehand and had arranged something for the band to crash at his place...so when i got there Alan was sitting at a table w/ Jacques and Amber...so i guess i sat around for a while hanging out w/ Alan Sparhawk...that was quite rad...he seemed kind've annoyed 'cuz the opening band took so long to start...this was the local band The Tearjerkers...they sucked much anus...then The Black-Eyed Snakes played...it fucking ruled...a lot better than i expected from hearing the word "blues"...they did their Fall cover ("My New House") as well as turned possibly the shittiest Moby song (and that's saying a lot) into something good (that song being "Honey") and they also did "Lordy" (which you may remember from the Low+Dirty Three cd...) they also did "Bo Diddley" before which Alan had broken a string on his guitar, so he started restringing it while the rest of the band started then stood up to sing and ran around some, it was really cool...then he finished strining the guitar and finished the song w/ it, singing "i want candy"...afterwards i bought a cd (It's the Black-Eyed Snakes) and a shirt...they didn't play too long though...they were going to New Orleans today and someone told 'em it was 4 hrs from Memphis (when it's more like 8)...there was an extra person and there wasn't going to be enough room at Jacques' so we finally got Brad to show up, as for some reason he didn't show up for the fucking show...and he was able to accommodate the rest...Alan and i guess the roadie guy wanted to crash so they went home w/ Jacques but the others wanted to check out some show thing at Murphy's so Brad and took them...they were really cool, we hung out and talked w/ them for a while...in a lot of ways they're a bit dorky like us, which is cool...then we went home and all...but the moral is: hanging w/ Alan Sparhawk and The Black-Eyed Snakes was super-cool...yea...

i went to class this morning...i slept in my car for 40 min afterwards, before i had to go in to work to door hang...Loralei was fired this morning so we were short one person for it...and the store was short drivers so i got to take two deliveries and got about $5 for the one run...some tips are better than none...after that, my other class...now here i am...that's all i can think of that i have to say for now...oh yea, except that i checked my account balance and i'm a hundred and something in the negative...fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck...

p.s. i'm missing They Might Be Giants right now...and i don't care! ha! ha! ha!
