ateolfDavid's mom's friend had won some free thing at Jillian's from some business card drawing, for 25 ppl, so we were invited...David, Justin, and i went...it was pretty cool...free food had been announced but it was just appetizer stuff (chips and dip, vegetables and dip, and hot wings and dip...although the wings were damned tasty...) we also got these cards for free games so we went around playing games and stuff...it was rad...though the cards wouldn't work w/ HypwerBowl, which was the coolest-looking thing there...but i did play that MTV drumming "game"...several times...i drummed to some Ratt and Mötorhead ("Ace of Spades" yeayeayea...) after that we went to some show thing...it was the Subteens + some "half-naked whipped cream wrestling" or something...first there were these guys doing this fake pro-wrestling thing...it was amusing...then these girls started doing twisted but it morphed into some sort of wrestling thing...and ppl sprayed whipped cream...it was kind've lame, but...eh...one cool thing: Nick Diablo was dj'ing for a little bit and he played some pretty rad stuff ("Editions of You" Roxy Music, Bowie's cover of "Let's Spend the Night Together," "Third Uncle" Eno, and "Listen to the Sirens" Tubeway Army...) then the Subteens played...i was pretty underwhelmed...rock and roll...yea...but the did do a cover of "Chinese Rocks"...we left sometime durring their set, near-deaf...when we returned we watched Bamboozled...i'd say it's pretty good, though much longer than it needs to be...and a little heavy handed in its message...but good...i think that's all for now...
