The busyness has started! Yesterday morning I went over to Dominic's to pick up some video he's provided for the festival. Mary Beth and I went out for lunch buffet at India Palace. Then Luís picked me up to make a Costco run for sodas for the festival before heading to WKNO to be on the radio! Kacky was super nice and good at what she does. We got there a little early and she conducted the interview right before it aired, recorded it and then it was on air just in time for us to listen to it driving home. The whole Checking on the Arts show is only ten minutes so we didn't cover a whole lot of ground, but I think it went well. She emailed us the mp3 so we've got it for later or whatever. In the rest of the afternoon/evening I worked on editing all the video and chunking it up into a playlist for the festival. I also wrapped up loading all the early electronic/musique concrète music I'd ripped onto my old mp3 player. Seven gigs of awesome music to randomly play between acts! In the evening Mary Beth and I walked up to Boscos and had a nice sit on the patio, enjoying the unseasonably lovely weather. Oh, I also got Moor Mother: Fetish Bones on cd in the mail yesterday.I think that has you about up-to-date with me. About to go up to Crosstown to start making sure stuff is set up! In random news, I've had that "Every 1's a Winner" song by Hot Chocolate in my head since watching that Dr. Ruth documentary. I mean, it's been embedded in my brain something fierce!
