we went to the library for library reasons but while there of course had to stop by the bookstore: Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe, All the King's Men by Robert Penn Warren, Paradise Lost & Paradise Regained by John Milton, The Story of the Night by Colm Tóibín, Shikasta by Doris Lessing, The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas by Gertrude Stein, Pudd'nhead Wilson by Mark Twain, The Broom of the System by David Foster Wallace, The Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels, and Summer in Baden-Baden by Leonid Tsypkin...
