i think in my last post i mentioned how i seemed to be getting used to my new schedule...scratch that...friday i just felt worn down...not even tired (well, i was tired but not in an unmanageable way) but just, like i said, worn down...friday night Mary Beth and i finally played the two player Settlers of Catan variation...it worked pretty well, much better than when we tried it a long time ago without any special rules...it goes real fast though...yesterday i had my one-day weekend...that's pretty lame...i hung out with Dustin...we went around to a few pawn shops...we had a nice meal at Jimmy's (which has been wreaking hell on my stomach ever since and still is now as i forgot my beano and lactaid and those riverview fries are tough bastards...tough, delicious bastards) then we went to the goodwill next door and i got some used books even though i should't've: The Well of Lost Plots by Jasper Fforde, The Funeral Party by Ludmila Ulitskaya, Quicksand and Passing by Nella Larsen, Native Son by Richard Wright, Mao II by Don DeLillo, and Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen...then we dicked around at guitar center then Dustin wanted to go to Barnes and Noble and i couldn't help being suckered in by their buy 2 get the 3rd free on the Harper Perennial table and i picked up three: Beasts of No Nation by Uzodinma Iweala, The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester, and The Final Solution by Michael Chabon...then today was my first weekend day to ever work at my job...however, i think it was the slowest day i've ever worked ever...i didn't process an actual call til after my lunch (not counting ones where they just drop in and out 'cuz it's a jackass dialing the wrong number...something we get a lot of...) at least now i only have three days of working til i'm off again...and we're done with our dogsitting today...it was fun...Pig's awesome...

hey, i didn't even know who Slint was when i was a 14 year old american...though it had only been out for a year at that time...still i didn't even listen to it til i was in my twenties another decade later...so consider yourself precocious! i shudder to think of the music i was listening to when i was 14...

hahahahahaha, and what exactly WERE you listening to at 14?

btw, a search for My Bloody Valentine led me to your journal, but i couldnt find any posts...do you like them? probably a stupid question, with the mighty Sonic Youth and Slint already up there..
