yesterday Dustin and i went to guitar center...kinda boring, but anyway...we met up with Jacques, Amber, and Jason and went and saw Halloween...it wasn't as bad as i'd expected but that's not saying anything...i was laughing at it a long straight from the beginning (and i'm not talking about the "humor" that you're supposed to laugh at, i didn't laugh at that), so when there was some intermittent stuff towards the middle that didn't make me laught, um...was i going somewhere with that? probably not...i dunno, i can't say it was a good movie...but going to movies is fun i guess...i started my week of overtime today...though i realized there's a show wednesday so i had to cancel that night...only three less hours...so it's eighteen now...ah well...i got some mail: The Exploding Detective by John Swartzwelder and Thurston Moore: Trees outside the Academy...and uh...

No. I'd been telling Jacques that I needed to read something upbeat for a change. Everything I've read recently has just made me want to kill myself. So he got me that book. But I realize that it's not the best one to start with, right?

i dunno, it seems like it wouldn't matter which order, i've been reading them in the order they came out but more 'cuz uh i've gotten 'em roughly corresponding to when they come out...i've only read the first two so far...the first one's the best...and from my understanding all but the second are based on the same character as the first...someone in a recent Simpsons commentary said this new one is his best, i think...the ones i've read made me laugh out loud a bunch, especially the first...

Okay. See, I knew about the same character. That's why I wasn't sure if I should read the first one first. But if it's just the same character and not really a "sequel," then I'll go ahead and read what I have.

even though i've only read one of the Frank Burly books, from what i gather they're not sequels, but more and different fun adventures much like all those wonderful Hardy Boys books! from my experience i don't think there could be any further character development across the books (in a good way...i.e. one-dimensional/funny/cartoony...)

welllllllll, while technically not as bad as See no Evil, See no Evil fit the cliché of "so bad it's good" and therefore was immensely more entertaining than Halloween...so objectively: no, but in my heart: yes...or something like that...
