you are correct about #1 being wrong...and #7 is the right movie, which Phoebe answered below...The Conversation is a good one...though it has more than very little dialogue....

hah yeah i thought it was perhaps someones 'funny' way of saying that you hear that one line over and over and over....

[identity profile] ateolf.livejournal.com 2007-04-20 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
ah...i get that...though there is much more lip reading than the actual movie it's for...

3. Naked Lunch
4. Heavenly Creatures?
5. Taxi Driver

well, so everything is answered except for #4...which is slightly funny because the actual title of the movie is there...

that was a good guess for number 4 in terms of the keywords, but not so good for "hm, would robert be into this movie"? ha.

i've never seen it...is that the Peter Jackson movie?

[identity profile] absolution.livejournal.com 2007-04-21 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, with kate winslet and whatshername. it's kind of reminiscent of peter weir's picnic at hanging rock with the underlying gay stuff and the eerie manic sensual tone and implied violence.

[identity profile] ateolf.livejournal.com 2007-04-21 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
heh, i haven't even heard of the other movie...nor do i know who Peter Weir is...film expert i am not...

picnic at hanging rock is that rarest of all films: one i happen to know about and like, a lot, that Jacques likes too and doesn't mind talking to me about. so i feel a little less retarded! ha.

it's one of my favorites. heavenly creatures is pretty to look at, but not as overall what the fuck as picnic.
