saying some stuff...

Jason and Amanda came over last night but we didn't really do anything...sat around...i ate some sandwhiches...work today was like it was yesterday...and i assume it'll be the same tomorrow...hopefully by monday it'll be back to normal...having to use the crapy keyboards pisses me off...but i did finish reading The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien (special thanks to Amber and Jacques (happy?) for giving it to me! i always love discovering new writers...especially when they're this fucking good...) The Family Ghost should be practicing in a little while this evening...that should be nice...

get it right, or pay the price

jacques had nothing to do with the book. that was from me. he got you something else, but i can't remember what it was. jacques had never even heard of tim o'brien until i made him read a short story. all i'm sayin' is, i got him into tim o'brien. so, um, yeah.

my god that book is f-ing amazing...everything tim o'brien writes is amazing. i taught that book for a class i led one semester, teaching freshman retards how to think for themselves. it is one of my favorite books and hopefully you'll read more. in the lake of the woods...yeah, read that one.

i really want to read more. i've only read 'the things they carried' and 'if i die in a combat zone,' but they were both just fucking great. i thought robert would appreciate his writing, and i'm glad i was right. anyway, we're going to barnes & noble today to spend a gift card, so i think i'll pick up 'in the lake of the woods' while i'm there. yeah. cool.
