Back in Brack
woo!!! look at me!!! i have internet access!!! so what's been going on with me this past week?, you ask...well, as i mentioned before i had tuesday and wednesday off...which was awesomely awesome...i went to Lastchance (the first time i'd been since they changed locations...) and got:
Tristeza: Espuma
Sentridoh: Wasted Pieces
then i met up with Justin...we tried to go to Legba but Greg had closed it early for the day...we went to the Memphis Drum Shop and i got 3 pairs of sticks...we ate at Fino's...went to the library bookstore where i bought a ton of used books:
Men without Women by Ernest Hemingway
The Sun also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
We Never Make Mistakes by Aleksander Solzhenitsyn
A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
The Ghost Writer by Philip Roth
The Prague Orgy by Philip Roth
Why not Me? by Al Franken
The Big Bang Never Happened by Eric J. Lerner
For All Practical Purposes: Introduction to Contemporary Mathematics
Introductory Experiments in Digital Electronics and 8080A Microcomputer Programming and Interfacing -- Book 2
Bulldogs
Raising Sheep the Modern Way
then that night was the Rocket from the Tombs show!!! i went with Jacques and Amber...Jason, Amanda, and Brad showed up shortly thereafter...the show was pretty great...the highlight of the night was "30 Seconds over Tokyo"...pretty up there in my personal history of "live moments"...also, David Thomas shook my hand when i was buying stuff after the show...a shirt and a cd:
Rocket from the Tombs: Rocket Redux
so then i had ANOTHER day off...it was pretty sweet...i didn't do a whole lot...i went back to Legba and it was open...i got some more cds:
Joan of Arc: In Rape Fantasy and Terror Sex We Trust
X-Ray Spex: Germfree Adolescents: the Anthology (yet another cd to buy again since it was reissued with an extra disc...)
this also reminds me something about the show i forgot to mention...Greg's (owner of Legba) crappy band The Reigning Sound (i hate that they suck 'cuz Greg's super-nice and all...) opened for RFTT and when they finished playing some stupid bitch got up on stage and said "we can't let these guys go without playing one more song!!!" to which i yelled at her the following 3 bits of information: "shut the fuck up!!!," "get off the stage, bitch!!!," and "Rocket from the Tombs!!!"...of course the audience cheered enthusiastically and we were subjected to another song of theirs, postponing the good band all the longer...anyway, back to yesterday...not much went on the rest of the day...just chilled with my day off...the Time Warner dude came by and cable modem was installed...as you now see...so that rules...i got cheap speakers for my computer...and a usb cable so the printer's connected...uh...blah...
today back to work...nothing too exciting about that...oh, Carry Vaughan (the guy who's like the main trainer and one of the knowledgable people when it comes to stuff concerning my job) had a little talk about a call of mine he recently monitored...i did really well on it, but one of the minor things that i did wrong was something that i corrected him on and was actually right...so i guess that was a minor highlight in an otherwise dull day...showing up "tha man"....RRRROIGHT!!! uh...i gotta wake up early tomorrow and take Justin's jew-ass to the airport...uh...i guess i'm finished saying stuff...

And the Reigning Sound is good, at least they were before the 4th member quit...
And you should sing "Carry Vaughan my Wayward Son" around your trainer. He'll love it, I swear.

and i'll make sure to sing that to him...i've already taken to serenading him with "Get out of My Dreams, Get into My Car"...
