up here at the school...just finished my graphics midterm...i think i actually may have done alright...i knew what the last question was going to be (not specifically, but the general idea): that we'd be given about 2 pages of GLUT code and have to explain what it would do...i was pretty worried about it but i actually think i figured it out...or something pretty close anyway...i did fuck up the first question (possibly the most basic and simple thing...so basic and simple i didn't pay attention to it durring my hour of studying this morning...) but it's just a small 5 point question...but i'm sure i at least passed...maybe i'm lucky enough to have gotten a b...i wouldn't bet on that but i'm sure it's not too bad...

i didn't really study last night...i got up early and came to the school this morning...a little more than an hour before class...i knew there were notes in Power Point format on the web, but i don't have Power Point at home...but yea...i at least don't feel bad about it...and that's a good sign...

oh yea, and we got our next programming assignment...this time i will do it...i will i will i will i will i will!!! spring break's next week...i will definately get started at least by then! i will i will i will i will i will i will!!!

also, last night i ordered the Eraserhead dvd...expensive as fuck, but i'll be damned if it isn't one of the best things i've ever seen...possibly even in the fabled Top 5...

work in a little over an hour...maybe i can take a nap in my car...

What, exactly, is the plot of Eraserhead? I've never seen it.

plot? maybe if you get drunk enough, you could make one up yourself, but that's about as close as you're going to get.

wrong...see my response to her...

plot

[identity profile] ateolf.livejournal.com 2003-03-06 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
it's about a guy w/ big hair who has a date w/ some girl near the railroads and there's alien spores or something as well as a singing girl in the radiator...then her parents serve throbbing chicken for dinner...the alien spores infect her unborn child so instead of a normal baby it's this monster thing but they care for it...then the guy's actually made of eraser shavings...and something breaks...

well it is a great movie, don't get me wrong, but it has to be one of the strangest damn things I've ever seen.... well one time I saw a saturn with a penis!

umm...it's all that stuff robert said, but i think it's about how godawful parenthood (fatherhood, specifically, in this case) is...

she asked for the plot, not the social significance, dickwad!

eraserhead is a dense symbolist work on the order of moby dick. except that the literal level makes no sense. only the allegorical level does.
