The Grammar Test
Your Score: 100%

I am a grammar expert! My skills are certainly being wasted here on the internet. Perhaps I should become a teacher.

actually, i originally got a 92% on the quiz, but one of their answers was wrong...according them "I like books, movies, and cooking." is an incorrect sentence when, in fact, it's a perfectly correct sentence...i'm guessing since "I like books, movies and cooking." is also correct, they assumed the comma before "and" is wrong...but THEY'RE wrong...i wrote 'em an email...that'll show 'em who the fuckin' grammar nerd is!

and here's the stupid story behind my email writing: just as i finished, before i sent it, the fucking power went out (as it apparently did earlier today while i was at school...) it pissed me off, i was relaxing, writing a dorky email, listening to Street Hassle when suddenly it was pitch black...i was searching for my phone to use its dim, green light but couldn't find it...it came back on shortly thereafter, but i had to rewrite the email...bugger technology!

that's what i said...i'm guessing since "I like books, movies and cooking." is also correct...i was saying they're wrong in that they said that "I like books, movies, and cooking." is incorrect...and since it is correct, their answer was WRONG!!! damn emo grammar nerd poseurs...

i know that's what you said. i was just reiterating it and showing my disgust.

I'm fairly certain books, movies and cooking is correct and books, movies, and cooking is incorrect, though I do recall being taught books, movies, and cooking in grade school.

no, they're both correct...i got his email back saying that wasn't the problem, but "cooking" is a verb and not a noun...i corrected him saying that "cooking" is a gerund, a verb form which serves as a noun...putting the smackdown on his false-grammar nerd ass...
