okay, friday i went to class...my walking class got out early so i was all excited, a little more time to practice...but someone had forgotten about stuff he had to do that day (making a big effort to get started on that as he was still asleep when i called at noon...) i had met up w/ Brad and Keith at Brad's...Brad wanted to go to Lastchance so we did...David also showed up (having seen us go in as he was driving down the street...) so it was all like 'yo!'...once again, at the very end of the venture i found something worth getting...7 Seconds: Alt.music.hardcore...it's a comp of their early stuff, including the first ep, as immortalized in the Skeeno HC Rulez section of Rap Damage...w/ such classics as "Redneck Society," "Racism Sucks," and "I Hate Sports"...dropped Keith off at his home, Brad and i ate Taco Bell then i went home to get ready before work just in enough time to be able to drive right back out to midtown for work...i was there for less than an hour when i was put on call (of course never being called back in...) i hadn't even made any runs at all...bollocks, is that...i went over to Brad's...Keith and Chris showed up...we sat around being stupid for hours...finally we ended w/ a long game of Phase 10, this pretty cool card game...it was almost 5 and i was pretty dead, having been up since 9am-ish...
then there was yesterday...went to work...went to Brad's again...there was a group and we all went to the American Deathray and Lost Sounds show...a few days ago i heard Shade's copy of the American Deathray cd...it's fucking horrendous...but their show was surprisingly pretty good...the first song reminded me a good deal of Fun House...and some of the stuff kind've reminded me of The Contortions (of course not nearly as great...but i was at least reminded...) a lot of it was just kind've garagey rock and roll, but it wasn't too bad...The Lost Sounds were quite good...i like how the first half of the set got all of their garageyish rock stuff out of the way then the second half was their better stuff...lots of cute girls, of course i didn't talk to any...and that's that...
