more rock

we practiced w/out Keith yesterday...but Brad, Jacques, and i started writing yet another new song on the whim...we also recorded a cover of "Disorder" (Joy Division, of course...) we were using the mixer and i was testing out this trick i had figured out to do panning...(i wont' go into details into what it is or why panning wasn't happening in the first place...so i'll just leave it at that...) but it was all purty rockin'...then we went to Wherehouse:
Siouxsie and the Banshees: Kaleidoscope
The Modern Lovers: Precise Modern Lovers Order
Siouxsie and the Banshees: Tinderbox
we made it back to The Apartment and made a tape of some of our stuff for Abe...then we went to The People's Temple for the show and gave it to him...the show was quite good...first was Crypt Orchid...we didn't get there 'til the end of their set but they had two bass players and a female drummer...(nothing else...well...except screaming from one of the bass players...) next was Black Man, White Man, Dead Man...they were very noisy, early Swans-like...and finally were The Oscars...(Abe's band, the band that lives at and "runs" The People's Temple...) it was the first time i'd seen them live...they're quite good...kind've Dead Milkmenish...a little indier...i dunno...i guess that's all i have to say for now...

precise ML is the shit.. but since you just got it.. does it sound oddly digital to you? listen on headphones. that bugged the shit out of me when i got it. but now its one of those high school albums that changed me forever, and shit.
