Tone
Finished the song I'd been working on yesterday. I added some drums (a long row of my toms mixed in with old left-here toms). Then I ran 'em through gated reverb (a fun effect to achieve as, with all of the electronic music shit I have, a regular ol' reverb effect is not something I actually possess; as usual I faked it with fast delay, not quite the same, I know, but I tried to compensate by running it through three parallel delays at different speeds, mixed back together...close enough). Then I mixed in some radio noise as it's called "Radio Song" (the idea is it's a song playing when someone in the "movie" is listening to the radio...in space). Anyway, here's the finished product:
Last night we went to Matt and Genie's new year party. Josh and Molly were there. Paul and Shawna for a short while after we arrived. It was pretty fun. Talked to a good bit of people, including Eric who I used to work with and Matt. I played some Rock Band and was killing it on the easy level drums (the one song I tried on medium, not so much). Now it's 2014. I woke up very late in the day and was in bed a while longer. So I'm starting the year off with more nothing.
