okay, what's been going on? a bunch i think hopefully i can remember all the crap...tuesday evening the band got together and practiced though without Ryan...hopefully all this wedding stuff's coming along pretty well...i got a ton of mail: An Anthology of Chinese Experimental Music (four freakin' discs! Sub Rosa wins my heart once again...), The Simpsons: the Twelfth Season, and my next issue of The Review of Contemporary Fiction (which surprised me so soon!) (Summer 2009| Vol. XXIX No. 2, "Special Fiction Issue" and the whole thing is one book: ;or The Whale by Herman Melville...and the story behind this is two years ago there was some abridged version called Moby-Dick in Half the Time which a review in The New Yorker called "improved" etc and well, this version is the publishing of everything and only that which was left out of that abridgement...i guess solely "the self indulgent stuff"...) it looks pretty awesome, i guess i need to hurry up and get around to reading Moby-Dick so i can then read this too...i'm pretty excited about it anyway...today i went and took care of renewing my passport...i thought i could use my previous passport for proof of citizenship and i couldn't find my birth certificate but when i went to the post office i couldn't use the old passport because i was too young when it was issued...but i went to the hall of vital records and got a new one in less than five minutes...so it's all taken care of and i paid an arm and an asshole to get it expedited so i should have it before the wedding...pretty excited about that...hopefully all goes well...and a personal note: Moxie soda is totally awesome!
