happy birthday mom
yes, today was (is) my mom's birthday...so after work we went out to eat (my mom, dad, grandmother, her husband, and i...my sister was out w/ friends or something and didn't make it back home in time...my parents are pretty upset w/ her, needless to say...) (i'll step aside right now and make the comment that this is one of the greatest albums ever...needless to say...) we went and ate and Nam King...yea...backing up:
last night i accidentally set my alarm for 8:30 pm instead of am...so i didn't wake up on time and i was like a half hour late for work...(not that it really matters aside from those $5 i won't be getting...) backing up some more:
i forgot to mention yesterday that i figured out the guitar part to "Stayin' Alive" (well, as best as my memory remembers it...Jacques also agreed that it was really close if not exact...) after we (Jacques and i) had a discussion about covering it...(this came up after we both admitted to emberassingly somewhat liking that song...as well other crap from that album...and then i started singing it...and we were laughing and stuff...we have ideas for making it all loopy and droney and feedbacky and noisy...well i do...if it can be pulled off w/ what we have...i need a tap delay pedal...oh yes, and other band members...)
oh yes, i also had to miss The Simpsons tonight 'cuz of being out w/ my family and stuff...it hurts to miss any new episode, but that's what reruns are for...
