after the rock
to recap: Jacques and i went to see Modest Mouse...the first band, The Shins or The Shin or whatever, was really bad...the second band, The Black Heart Procession, is really really good...afterwards i got one of their eps and a shirt...(yay fandom...) and finally, of course, was Modest Mouse...Jacques was whining about the show, but he's wrong...they were a bit rockin' live, but it was good...i got one of their shirts too...(yay fandom...) by the end of the show my little footsies were very very hurting from all the standing...yea...Jacques ended up talking to this guy he knows (Dale) after the show for a while about music and stuff while i stood around all awkward-like as usual...
after that we drove out to Steak 'n' Shake...as Jacques said, there was this extremely attractive chick there which a bunch of primates from some punkrock football team or something...she had black hair and thick glasses...maybe i should become a complete asshole/waste of internal/external organs so girls would talk to me too...i then slept on the couch...
morning: we started working out our cover of "I Don't Want to Push It" for a Sonic Youth tribute comp...(Jacques + me + Justin) but after we went through the song twice (it was going in a direction of much potential...) Justin decided that he had to go to some stupid "A Taste of Midtown" crap or something down on Overton Square...so we didn't get it done...even though i'm supposed to send it in next weekend...(which will NOT be able to happen now...) but i emailed the guy doing it...i'm sure he won't mind it being a week or so late...but still...
we did a cover of Bedhead's cover of "Disorder" (just myself and Jacques...) and then we started to write this other song...went home and slept...worked...met up w/ my group for english class directly afterwards...it was decided to do the project thing on Naked Lunch specifically...an obvious choice, but i guess for that reason it makes it easier...now here i am...woohoo...i pick Jacques up from work soon...must study for spanish exam tomorrow too...that's all...
