Long

Registration day was yesterday. We were at the school from 8 to 3:30. I had my nice, easy, boring shift at the front door, making sure people go to the back (which my partner took care of at least half the people coming by making a sign) unless they needed to go to the office for something, in which case we let 'em through. Two and a half hours of mostly sitting around. Then I got a chance to go home for a little bit. But it was eat and then about time to turn around and rush back to work for the evening shift, for which we stayed until everyone was registered. We didn't leave til pretty close to 9:30. Ugh. Also, when I first got there, my laptop case cracked when I opened it, where the screen hinges. It still works, but, blugh. Anyway, I get home right about time to go to bed but I was annoyed so I stayed up an hour later. Today was the departmental sessions at Wooddale High. I got lost getting there. I turned the wrong way on the street it's on and was like, I know it's around here. You can't hide a fucking high school. Called Mary Beth to look back and the map and figured out my error. Some of the little class thingies we went to were informative. I mean, especially the one for Bridge Math since I otherwise knew about nothing about the class. Looked at the new Geometry textbook's resources (I can't believe we're actually getting it this year, we were supposed to last year and figured they were gonna push it back or whatever again). Now I'm once again home for a little bit with a cat yelling at me. Open house is in a bit. I'm doing too much stuff and not getting anything done!
