Some Things
I finished reading Centroeuropa by Vicente Luis Mora during my lunch break. This was the latest early review book I got. (Also quite the coincidence that it happened to have the same title as the last book I read, though as originating in Spanish instead of English.) It was a really good book. I feel I've gotten a little bit of a knack for spotting books that might be at all interesting in the list (well, in the fact that I've gotten two in a row that were complete unknowns in every way). In the mail I got: Water from Your Eyes: Everyone's Crushed. This is the correction from the order I got last week where they'd sent the wrong album of theirs that I didn't order. So now I've finally gotten the one I did order. Also got in the mail: The Complete Films of Agnès Varda on blu ray! Been drooling over this for a long while but always pass it up because it's so big and expensive. Well, Mary Beth and I were doing the Criterion flash sale last week and I kinda had that on my initial list as usual but passed it up. So she orders all our stuff and then gets the gift card for reaching the threshold. Well, then with the sale and the gift card she figured that Varda box wouldn't ever get any cheaper so she surprised me and got it! Very sweet! There's a whole lot to go through. Let's see if we have the time! After work we went and did our Superlo grocery run. That's about it for now.
