I was going to record that new Tristan Perich album so I wouldn't have to just listen to it on the three small speakers it was composed for, and I'm getting the microphone and everything set up. I even dragged in a baffler from the other room. Then I try to turn on my Tascam handheld recorder and it just won't power on at all. So I change the batteries, still the same thing. I tried it with usb power, still the same thing. So my handheld recorder that I use like all the fucking time is now suddenly dead! My heart was kind of broken a little bit. I ordered another one, but that put me in a little bit of a funk 'cuz that's one of my (maybe even the-single-) most-used pieces of equipment. Not a lot else from yesterday, but then at night I watched some Rocko's Modern Life with Mary Beth. Oh yeah, I'd complained earlier about my santee pick for SantaThing this year, but I did end up actually thinking of some stuff that I think and hope is pretty good.
