Metal Date

I was off for another Friday yesterday. Mary Beth and I started by going out and having lunch at the Arcade. It was delicious, of course. Then we while we were right there, Mary Beth wanted to check out the witchy shop that's on that strip. I spent a little time at that weird bookstore that's also on that strip. It's so small but then also makes very little use of the small space so their selection is pretty lacking. I did manage to find one book to pick up: The Netanyahus by Joshua Cohen. After that we went over to the Metal Museum. The exhibition was for Rachelle Thiewes and was pretty cool jewelry. And we looked and stuff and wandered the grounds and it was nice. We also went across to the park and walked up to the top of the big Chickasaw mound. I don't think I knew that there's a crater at the top of it. Anyway, was kinda cool to go up there. Then back home I had some mail (some cds across three packages): Coil: The New Backwards; Betty Davis: They Say I'm Different; Guillermo Pizarro: Mater Tenebrarum, Vol. 2; v/a: Hordijk Vol. 2; and Christina Carter: Texas Blues Walking. Later at night Mary Beth and I watched together the Female Misbehavior documentary shorts by Monika Treut. Now the weekend continues along.
