I got some Creel Pone cds in the mail yesterday (taking advantage of a sale to do my first damaged cd replacement, now that I'm nearing the end of the ripping project, the damaged one that I'm replacing is the Philippe Doray one, the rest are new-to-me): Philippe Doray les Asociaux Associes: Ramasse-Miettes, Logos Duo: Composition-Improvisation, v/a: Music by Computers, Beverly De Fries-D'Albert: Mental Sailing, Dianda - Moretto - Serra: Musica Electroacustica, and Robert Ceely: Instrumental and Electronic Music. At night Mary Beth and I went to see an Indie Memphis screening of The Five Devils and it was really good. I'd thought I might have another tenor that could perform this piece, but once again he had to decline due to it being too difficult. We'd progressed a little bit and I'd scanned the score and he'd asked some questions that seemed like he was considering it in a positive way, but then he realized it was too hard. Well, I THOUGHT it was a good idea before we started in on it!...
