Avail the Grantor with Merriment and Sundries

It was a pretty low key day yesterday. I got my musical piece "Study for Synthesizer and Spliced Cassette Tape" submitted and it should be out on cassette on American Damage in February or March. So that's an exciting thing. I'd put way more work into it than I'd ever thought starting the whole project. I'm very happy with the results! Mary Beth and I went for a walk in the later part of the afternoon even though it was raining. We bundled up against the elements. We didn't go to the park but snaked around the adjacent neighborhood a little bit (until we got inundated with rerouted traffic as something was going on on Poplar, not sure what but we could see some flashing blue lights a few blocks over). Then we're dealing with the rain and a crazy influx of cars on a set of typically quiet, residential streets. I spent the evening putting together a flyer for the "Merry Concrète Christmas" show that's coming up at the Hi-Tone "on this the 19th of December." I'm pretty happy with it, it's absurd as hell. I made it like a Christmas card, though kind of also like a Victorian invitation. And old Christmas card image of an orange and a candle as ornaments kissing each other is quite magical and unsettling. That's about it for now. And we're only halfway through with this long holiday weekend!
