Last night Mary Beth and I went up to Crosstown to see the documentary Nam June Paik: Moon Is the Oldest TV. It was really good and covered a lot of ground. Makes me especially miss Vide-O-belisk, the sculpture that had been in the Brooks rotunda for the longest time. They've done some good things in there and I do really like the Tommy Kha installation that's currently there. It just felt special that the Paik was this fixture right when you walked in. But ah well!
Some news that I inexcusably forgot to mention in a previous post! We found out that Peanut is in fact a lady when we'd been thinking she was a guy. We were eating out on the back deck the other day and Peanut was hanging around and her human called over so she'd stop annoying us (we're used to it though, we enjoy when she annoys us, usually, when she doesn't attack us, which is rare but happens on occasion). Anyway, she referred to her as a she so we were like "now we know!" We'd originally thought Peanut was male because when we first met her, she was at our bedroom window a lot looking in and making Trudy very angry and we thought it was a guy trying to woo Trudy (maybe she was trying to woo her, who know!?). Anyway, there you have it. She does kind of tend to act like a lady cat (as in more stand-off-ish and unfriendly) so I guess that makes sense.
