Pipe Water

So the plumber did come late yesterday afternoon. Now we at least have cold water back on. So we can flush the toilet like regular and stuff. It's good we did all the preemptive water gathering from the rain gutters, but then almost immediately we had water and had to go back to boiling tap water so all the containers we'd just filled with the outside water had to be emptied and sanitized. He says now he's going to be replacing all the old copper pipes with plastic or whatever new material doesn't burst when it freezes. So that'll be a plus. Hopefully we get some hot water again soon. I took a cold shower last night and again this morning. Really sucks, but far less than the stink of not having showered for two days. My dad also dropped by drop off some Christmas presents he'd never had the chance to give us. Found out my mom goes back to chemo starting tomorrow (wait, tomorrow is today now, starting today) so hopefully that's a good sign. I got a kindle fire and looks like I should easily be able to break it out into a regular android tablet and I'll probably do that. What now? Now that crazy weekend is over and it's back to working. It rained last night and so now much of the snow is gone. It was already melting a good bit yesterday. There's still some hanging onto stuff, but the ground is getting more muddy and sludgy than snowy.
