So that production call went on a few hours and then picked up at work today. I was pretty much in a "war room" all day about it. Even went through lunch (they ordered Jimmy John's but I'm not eating that shit, I did eventually eat the lunch I brought, though I thought I'd eat it after we finished, but it kept going). I left a little early, but I still have extra time built up from this stuff. Mike McCarthy had gotten me in touch with John Beifuss (the film writer for the Commercial Appeal), well he got back and asked me to call him today. So I did and we had a little interview about the festival! Wasn't really expecting that. Also, he didn't just approach the film angle (which is what I'd talked to him about) but he interviewed based on the whole thing (I mentioned I had been talking to the music writer for the Flyer but no one for the Appeal). It'll be online next week and in the paper next Friday (still before the actual festival so for something unexpected that's pretty cool). My brain's a little jumping all around the place over that now. Also got some right angle patch cables in the mail today. Yesterday or the day before I got some patch cables that are half right angles and half straight. I ordered them all 'cuz after installing my reverb tank in my lid, my bottom row has less room and the cables don't fit when I close the lid, so if I use right angle cables on the bottom row, they should fit just fine. So many complications! Okay, now my brain must process shit and catch up.
