I got a couple cds in the mail: Drop Ceiling Ensemble: Live at Memphis Print Shop (hey! I was at the show where this was recorded!) and Rob Magill: Let the World Cry (Duets) (I was also sent an extra of the second volume in this series but I already have that one so I'll need to see if I can pay it forward). At night, Mary Beth and I went up to Crosstown to see Echo Party (jazz group featuring lots of fine musicians I know: Alex Greene, Khari Wynn, Art Edmaiston, Steve Hirsh, and Chad Fowler). They put on a good show (again, I mean, I saw almost half of them play just a few nights ago!). I picked up even more merch (it feels different somehow when you space out the same merch table over two night?): Futterman • Parker • Fowler • Hirsh: The Deep and Fowler • Cartright • Parker • Hurt • Stewart • Hirsh: Miserere.
